Judith is London born, of both West African and Caribbean heritage. She grew up in East London, a hyper-diverse area in inner-city London, UK.
Her early experiences of ethnic and socio-economic diversity provided the basis for Judith’s curiosity, and confusion, about the way we categorise or group people. She began making art in 2016, and her work focuses on exploring the idea of race, racism and racial identity.
At this time, Judith was completing her doctorate in Educational Psychology. Currently, her artwork practice applies established psychological theory to visually depict the way the mind may understand race.
